Toti Toronell, 14-12-1975

He could be born blond, but he was born brown; he could be born a girl, but he was born a boy; he could be born before, but he was born after; he could be born white, but he was born, as everyone, full of colour.

And here it starts all, learning to live plenty of colour! Descovering tonalities of life and searching for the colours hidden inside transparent things.

Clown, draftsman, stage designer and director; all these professions are mixed inside him in order to achieve a particular personality.

Toti Toronell joined the circus world in 1992 through a course with Pep Mora that would kickstart everything that has come after.

Through the circus he discovered the clown, which would change his vision of the world and become a lifestyle.

He has learned from Avner (The Excentric), with Jango Edwards, Leo Bassi, Las Bubb, Comediants, Toni Alba, Dimitri Bogatirev (Aga-Boom) among others, but mostly by daring to try and plenty of research.

Throughout his career he has combined his work as a clown with his artistic background through plastic works, creating ephemeral architectures and parallel universes, always present in his works, with which he emphasizes his sensitivity and empathy with the public in an intimate, personal format.
